Endure the Race

Many believers grow comfortable but spiritually sluggish—still around the things of God, yet dull of hearing and unprepared when pressure, suffering, or doubt comes. In Hebrews 5:11–6:12, Scripture wrestles honestly with this problem by warning against stalled maturity, calling out the danger of drifting from Christ, and reminding us that true faith is revealed by endurance and fruit over time. The answer is not abandoning Jesus or chasing something new, but returning to the basics, growing deeper in our understanding of who Christ is and what He has done, and training ourselves through consistent faith and obedience. Our next step in discipleship is to listen again, re-engage God’s Word, practice the fundamentals of the faith, and imitate those who endure with patience and trust. Join us this Sunday as we open God’s Word together and ask an honest question: when life turns up the pressure, are we trained to endure the race?
