Who is Your One?
In this week’s sermon based on John 20:19-23, we step into the locked room where the disciples huddled in terror following the crucifixion and death of Jesus. Though the tomb was empty, the followers of Jesus remained "entombed" by their own anxiety until the risen Christ appeared among them with a transformative word: "Shalom." We explore how Jesus meets our deepest fears with His presence, proving that He comforts us before He commissions us. Just as a soldier needs to hear the war is over or a rescue swimmer needs specialized training, we need the peace of Christ to overcome the "locked doors" of our own hearts. Ultimately, we are reminded that we don’t go in our own strength; we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry the message of forgiveness to a world in need. Join us as we learn to move from the paralysis of fear to the purpose of the Gospel.
