As I young Christian I was afraid to travel to share my faith. I would pray things like "God, I will go anywhere, just not Africa." This is probably why my first international trip to share the Gospel was to Africa. I remember being 29 years old when God helped me confront my fear of going to unknown places. I was part of a small group of eight people that traveled the world to Uganda. We went to the large city of Kampala, and to the smaller city of Gulu. In both cities, God brought groups of 300 pastors each. These 300 men and women were placed in group of 40 and 50 to be trained on how to interpret the Bible and preach the good news of Jesus Christ. Going and sharing what I knew about Jesus to people around the world changed my life forever. It also has changed the lives of all of the people the 600 pastors preached to. Sharing the good news with people near and far is God's plan of salvation to the world, and this week we will focus on how we love God and love people in this way.
