Spiritual Growth Path, Week 2

First Things First

Sermon Outline | Group Questions

This January we are going to take some time and set our priorities as a church from the pulpit. For the sermon series this year, we will focus on the discipleship path at Orchard, called "First Things First" (We call it our "Spiritual Growth Path" or sometimes for short you might hear "Growth path").

First Things First: Spiritual Growth Path

Bible Text: Ephesians

From Pastor Assad Saif

I mentioned that every January I like to take some time and set our priorities as a church from the pulpit. I typically do this with a sermon series titled "First Things First". In my sermon last week, I focused the teaching around the fundamental need for followers of Jesus to participate in gathering together as the "Church". The local and global church is God's "Plan A" for the spread of the good news of God's plan of salvation.

You were made for something. God has a special plan for you as part of his greater unfolding plan. Your job is to learn what that is. This is all part of what it means to grow spiritually as a follower of Jesus. I love the church, it is the family of God! If you have not seen it yet, I encourage you to take time to watch the sermon below. This week we will be taking a look at the next step of our spiritual growth path at Orchard, which is to "live connected". I will take some time and walk through some key points using the book of Ephesians as our guide. I am excited to share with you this week! Just a reminder, we will return to our study in the Gospel of John in February.
