The value of a human life.
Why didn’t the wicked servant ask for forgiveness? Why get thrown out? Just say you are sorry and recognize your weakness before this amazing and powerful Master.
Because that is me. That is you.
We deeply desire to serve our God. To love Jesus as our Master. To honor Him and understand the Kingdom resource God has given and never hold back from Him.
It is for that reason I am investing my life, my finances, my energy and skills and grace, love, patience, truth, and effort into building up this body, contributing to the Kingdom of God and spending some extended time of rest with my God, my wife and my children.
Join me now in asking God to amazing things in our lives and to use us to reach this community in Jesus’ name. - Pastor Assad Saif
Read Matthew 25:14-30
- v. 14,15 Do you see your life as a valuable resource for God's kingdom? Why or why not?
- v. 14,15 Why were some servants given more bags of gold?
- v. 16-18 What have you done with the gifts you have been given? Is it generally easier to use or to hide your gifts? Which gifts do you need to "dust off" and put back to good use?
- v. 19 How long did it take for the master to come back and settle accounts?
- v. 20-23 What happened to the servants who invested their gifts?
- v. 24-28 The last servant hides his gold based on his perception of the master. Explain his perception in your own words. Notice the master's words to this servant.
- v. 28-30 Notice the outcome of this accounting.
- v. 30 This verse seems to describe an unbeliever. Does that mean a genuine believer will honor God and put his or her gifts to work for God?
