Copy of Spiritual Growth Path, Week 3

First Things First

Sermon Outline | Group Questions

This January we are going to take some time and set our priorities as a church from the pulpit. For the sermon series this year, we will focus on the discipleship path at Orchard, called "First Things First" (We call it our "Spiritual Growth Path" or sometimes for short you might hear "Growth path").

First Things First: Spiritual Growth Path

Bible Text: Ephesians

From Pastor Assad Saif

This week we continue our sermon series "First Things First". I have loved this series because it is a reminder to me how I started seriously growing as a follower of Jesus. This week we will look at what it means to live a life that is part of the blessing of God. This topic causes questions in some people, because in it, we discuss how you relate to God with your finances. Many people struggle with financial wisdom, and as a result, we find ourselves inadvertently a slave to bills, and debt, and.... all of the sudden, we despair and stop trusting God.

We will not get a financial class this Sunday.

I will most likely offer a Financial Peace class later this year. We will however be learning about what it means to join God in the way he chooses to bless people. At some point we have to come to a place where we become part of the flow of God's blessing to others. That happens when we live a life of faith and trust in God, focused on what he wants to do, and joining him in his work. That is the opportunity before us. This is one of the most important lessons I have learned in my spiritual life. I hope you can make it Sunday!

Membership Class on Sunday.

Are you interested in joining our church? Membership at the Orchard is very important to us at the Orchard. We have a class this Sunday and would love to have you join us. Taking the class does not make you a member, rather, it qualifies you should choose to join. If you are interested in how and why we do things, I encourage you to sign up by clicking here.
