In turning the water into wine…
Jesus honors the faithful. Now what? This week I spoke about what it meant for Jesus to turn water into wine in John 2. If you missed it, you can always see our sermons online, click here.
Now what? Now, if you haven’t watched the sermon for this week, go watch it. In it you will find some clear points. Here are the points in short form.
- The Gospel invites us into a dependent relationship with God.
- Jesus honors the faithful.
- God exceeds our expectations.
- Jesus models family on mission.
I love all of these points, however, the ones standing out most to me are points two and four.
Jesus honors the faithful.
He honors Mary, his mother and teaches us that humility and submission are key to experiencing the supernaturally powerful and miraculous.
Additionally…
Jesus models family on mission.
Now more than ever, our church needs to step into it’s next phase of life together. We need to be like a family on mission, together, doing God’s work.

Now what?
Now I ask you to join me on the journey of seeking God to do some big things at our church.
First: Join me in praying for 40 days.
This 40 day pray will center on asking God to clearly show the leadership of the Orchard Community Church his plan for our next step.
Second: Commit to being part of our family.
We are a family on mission. When we are together, we can experience the presence and power of God. We need each other to reach as many people as possible with the message that God still cares about this world.
