Song Title: With Us
Verse 1
Before the world You knew the plans for me
Before my heart believed You came to my rescue
Now I’m found in love
There’s nowhere else to run
You keep my life within Your mighty hands
Chorus
(Oh God)
There’s no end to Your love
There’s no end to Your love
You’re with us
You’re with us
There’s nothing in this world
That could take You away
You’re with us
You’re with us
Verse 2
Before I call I know You’ll answer me
You’ll make a way beyond what I could imagine
What could separate from the love You gave
I put my hope in everything that You are
Bridge
You reign in our hearts
You reign above all
Be lifted on high
(REPEAT 4X)

Song Title: God Of Revival
Verse 1
We’ve seen what You can do oh God of wonders
Your power has no end
The things You’ve done before in greater measure
You will do again
Pre-Chorus
‘Cause there’s no prison wall
You can’t break through
No mountain You can’t move
All things are possible
There’s no broken body You can’t raise
No soul that You can’t save
All things are possible (things are possible)
Chorus
The darkest night
You can light it up
You can light it up
Oh God of revival
Let hope arise
Death is overcome
You’ve already won
Oh God of revival
Verse 2
You rose in victory and now You’re seated
Forever on the throne
So why should my heart fear what You defeated
I will trust in You alone
Bridge
Come awaken Your people come awaken this city
Oh God of revival pour it out pour it out
Every stronghold will crumble
(I) Hear the chains hit the ground
Oh God of revival pour it out pour it out
Interlude
Oh oh God of revival

Song Title: The Father’s House
Verse 1
Sometimes on this journey
I get lost in my mistakes
What looks to me like weakness
Is a canvas for Your strength
My story isn’t over my story’s just begun
Failure won’t define me
‘Cause that’s what my Father does
Failure won’t define me
‘Cause that’s what my Father does
Chorus
Oo lay your burdens down
Oo here in the Father’s house
Check your shame at the door
‘Cause it ain’t welcome anymore
Oo you’re in the Father’s house
Verse 2
Arrival’s not the endgame
The journey’s where You are
You never wanted perfect
You just wanted my heart
And the story isn’t over
If the story isn’t good
Failure’s never final
When the Father’s in the room
Failure’s never final
When the Father’s in the room
Bridge
Prodigals come home the helpless find hope
Love is on the move
When the Father’s in the room
Prison doors fling wide the dead come to life
Love is on the move
When the Father’s in the room
Miracles take place the cynical find faith
Love is breaking through
When the Father’s in the room
Jericho walls are quaking
Strongholds now are shaking
Love is breaking through
When the Father’s in the room
Love is breaking through
When the Father’s in the room

Song Title: Living Hope
Verse 1
How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation I turned to heaven
And spoke Your name into the night
Then through the darkness Your loving-kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is finished the end is written
Jesus Christ my living hope
Verse 2
Who could imagine so great a mercy
What heart could fathom such boundless grace
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame
The cross has spoken I am forgiven
The King of kings calls me His own
Beautiful Savior I’m Yours forever
Jesus Christ my living hope
Chorus
Hallelujah praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ my living hope
Verse 3
Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence the Roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
(REPEAT)
Jesus Yours is the victory whoa
Ending
Jesus Christ my living hope
Oh God You are my living hope

SERMON NOTES with SCRIPTURE
SERMON SERIES: Faith In The Dark
SERMON TITLE: The Burden
TEACHER: Dr. Assad Saif
PASSAGE: Habakkuk 1

____________________
SERMON NOTES
Habakkuk 1: 1 (NIV)
1 The prophecy that Habakkuk the prophet received.
The word prophecy here is translated as oracle in the New American Standard translation and can be translated as “Burden” as seen in the King James.
Habakkuk 1: 2-4 (NIV)
2 How long, Lord, must I call for help,
but you do not listen?
Or cry out to you, “Violence!”
but you do not save?
3 Why do you make me look at injustice?
Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?
Destruction and violence are before me;
there is strife, and conflict abounds.
4 Therefore the law is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice is perverted.
The Problem: Perplexity is punishing. ( vv. 1-4)
Question:
What does your faith look like? Does it look anything like the Israel during the time of Habakkuk?
Habakkuk 1: 5-11 (NIV)
5 “Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.
6 I am raising up the Babylonians,[a]
that ruthless and impetuous people,
who sweep across the whole earth
to seize dwellings not their own.
7 They are a feared and dreaded people;
they are a law to themselves
and promote their own honor.
8 Their horses are swifter than leopards,
fiercer than wolves at dusk.
Their cavalry gallops headlong;
their horsemen come from afar.
They fly like an eagle swooping to devour;
9 they all come intent on violence.
Their hordes[b] advance like a desert wind
and gather prisoners like sand.
10 They mock kings
and scoff at rulers.
They laugh at all fortified cities;
by building earthen ramps they capture them.
11 Then they sweep past like the wind and go on—
guilty people, whose own strength is their god.”
The Point: God invites us to have faith in the dark. (vv. 5-11)
Habakkuk 1: 12-17 (NIV)
12 Lord, are you not from everlasting?
My God, my Holy One, you[c] will never die.
You, Lord, have appointed them to execute judgment;
you, my Rock, have ordained them to punish.
13 Your eyes are too pure to look on evil;
you cannot tolerate wrongdoing.
Why then do you tolerate the treacherous?
Why are you silent while the wicked
swallow up those more righteous than themselves?
14 You have made people like the fish in the sea,
like the sea creatures that have no ruler.
15 The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks,
he catches them in his net,
he gathers them up in his dragnet;
and so he rejoices and is glad.
16 Therefore he sacrifices to his net
and burns incense to his dragnet,
for by his net he lives in luxury
and enjoys the choicest food.
17 Is he to keep on emptying his net,
destroying nations without mercy?
Observation: Faith walking in the dark is disorienting. (vv. 12-17)
Question to consider:
What may God be inviting you to right now? Share it with somebody. Don’t do this alone. If you want to find sure footing and get oriented… you need to share this with somebody.
Another question is “What has God already invited you into?” or “What are you already in?” Tell somebody.
Habakkuk 2: 1 (NIV)
2 I will stand at my watch
and station myself on the ramparts;
I will look to see what he will say to me,
and what answer I am to give to this complaint.
The Challenge: Watch and wait with anticipation. (v. 2:1)
