SONG TITLE: BATTLE BELONGS
Verse 1
When all I see is the battle
You see my victory
When all I see is a mountain
You see a mountain moved
And as I walk through the shadow
Your love surrounds me
There’s nothing to fear now
For I am safe with You
Chorus
So when I fight I’ll fight on my knees
With my hands lifted high
O God the battle belongs to You
And every fear I lay at Your feet
I’ll sing through the night
O God the battle belongs to You
Verse 2
And if You are for me
Who can be against me
For Jesus there’s nothing
Impossible for You
When all I see are the ashes
You see the beauty
When all I see is a cross
God You see the empty tomb
Bridge
(An) Almighty Fortress You go before us
Nothing can stand against
The power of our God
You shine in the shadows
You win every battle
Nothing can stand against
The power of our God

SONG TITLE: O HOLY NIGHT
Verse 1
O holy night the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Chorus 1
Fall on your knees
O hear the angel voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night O holy night
O night divine
Verse 2
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here came the wise men from Orient land
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our Friend
Chorus 2
He knows our need
To our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King
Before Him lowly bend
Behold your King
Before Him lowly bend
Verse 3
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Chorus 3
Christ is the Lord
O praise His name forever
His power and glory
Evermore proclaim
His power and glory
Evermore proclaim

SONG TITLE: GOD OF REVIVAL
Verse 1
We’ve seen what You can do oh God of wonders
Your power has no end
The things You’ve done before in greater measure
You will do again
Pre-Chorus
‘Cause there’s no prison wall
You can’t break through
No mountain You can’t move
All things are possible
There’s no broken body You can’t raise
No soul that You can’t save
All things are possible (things are possible)
Chorus
The darkest night
You can light it up
You can light it up
Oh God of revival
Let hope arise
Death is overcome
You’ve already won
Oh God of revival
Verse 2
You rose in victory and now You’re seated
Forever on the throne
So why should my heart fear what You defeated
I will trust in You alone
Bridge
Come awaken Your people come awaken this city
Oh God of revival pour it out pour it out
Every stronghold will crumble
(I) Hear the chains hit the ground
Oh God of revival pour it out pour it out
Interlude
Oh oh God of revival

SERMON NOTES with SCRIPTURE
SERMON TITLE: Joseph
TEACHER: Dr. Assad Saif
PASSAGE: Matthew 1:18-25
Matthew 1:18-19 (NIV)
18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.
19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
The Problem: Our human nature. (vv. 18-19)
When confronted with a seemingly impossible situation, will you, like Joseph, let your human nature lead you?
Or will you go to God and ask him what your next move should be?
__________
Matthew 1:20-21 (NIV)
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said,
“Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Main Point: Supernatural revelation can overcome our human nature. (vv. 20-21)
Question: Are you living as a person that is seeking the righteousness of God?
__________
Matthew 1:22-23 (NIV)
22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
Observation: This fulfilled prophecy. (vv. 22-23)
Question: How do the actions of our lives and our obedience to do the will of God on earth contribute to whole of God’s plan?
The answer? Perfectly.
God is still in control and has the ability to know all things whether or not you want to participate.
__________
Matthew 1:24-25 (NIV)
24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
The Challenge: Be a faithful servant. (vv. 24-25)
What really are we to God?
How do we see God?
Is God there for us to serve?
Do we serve God?
Is that how we view God?
Or do we see God as one that serves us?
Do we see God as meeting our needs but we see no need to join him in his mission?
