Welcome to your Orchard Update Tuesday!

Lots of updates….

Here are some things you need to know.

Below you will see that we:

Have two things we aren’t doing this fall and three things WE ARE.
Are trying to reach people in the digital age.

Four things we are doing this fall:

Life Groups. We would like to see 100% of our church in some kind of Life Group at the Orchard. Our Life Groups are made up of 1) sermon based studies 2) topical bible studies and 3) big group gatherings. Any of these groups will help you find your home at the Orchard. Join us in helping connect people “up” in their relationship with God and “in” with their relationships with people in our church. Click here to find a group!
Steak and Study. The steak and study is next Monday! Price is $10 per person, you can sign up online here. Sign up today so we can figure out how much steak to buy. This event has become one of our well attended events. Bring your friends and if you have them bring your kids!
Halloween Outreach. We have three homes signed up to lead for the Halloween outreach, we are looking for two more homes to sign up. We would love to do this event, however we need to raise $500 to do it. For $500 we can feed 1000 people on Halloween Night. If you are interested in this, sign up by clicking here.
Food Drive. We have a food drive coming up and would love to have your help. We will have brown paper bags for you to take home and fill up and bring back. For more info. email Fred Franklin at ffranklin@orchardcc.org

Two things we aren’t doing this fall:

Pancake Breakfast. We will not be having a pancake breakfast this Sunday 10/20. It takes 15 people to run this event and we haven’t been able to get people to help. We understand people are busy and it seems time to give people some rest and enjoy the awesome coffee and pastries we have every week.
Christmas Concert. At Orchard we love Christmas Concerts! We also have evaluated whether Christmas Concerts help us get people to come to church. We have recognized that Christmas Concerts are more for us to have fun as a church and less effective for evangelism. This year we will take a break from our Christmas Concert. We want to encourage you to invite people to join you as you come to church on Sunday.

Reaching The Digital Age

We will be sharing this over the next few weeks. At the Orchard, we are working on building a strong online presence. The reason for that is… people are there. People look up churches online before they attend them. Therefore, it is important that we have a good online presence. As a church we have greatly reduced our marketing budget… to help us get the word out on our church, please join our effort by contributing regularly in one of these 5 ways.

The way you can help us with our online presence is by:

Opening your email and clicking on the links we send out.
Signing up for our Daily Devotional and clicking on the link each morning.
Sharing Orchard pictures on facebook.
Following and tagging Orchard on Instagram.
