Title: Heaven
Passage: John 14:5-14

Thank you for taking the time to read Orchard's weekly news bulletin.  It is our hope that the information in this communication will enable you to get plugged in, get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ, and come together in fellowship as Christ followers with the goal of "inviting people to find Hope and experience Love through Faith in Christ."

If you missed last Sunday, you can listen to last week's sermon "Is The Bible True?" by clicking here.

Weekly Memory Verse: Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Join our Missions Team trip to Los Ninos de Promessa in Tijuana, where we plan to renovate a large dorm room that's in need of TLC. We need people to do tasks such as hang doors, sand, and paint. When you see the happy young faces at the children's home, you will be glad you helped!

The Orchard has the wonderful opportunity to participate in an event that could change the life of a child this holiday season. You can help by bringing in donations that will fit in a shoebox. During the months of September, October, and November we will be asking our church family to bring in items for our shoeboxes. On November 12 we will pack and pray over the shoeboxes as a church. Please help us with our goal of filling 150 shoeboxes this year! Thank you for being a part of this life-changing ministry.

See You at the Pole September 27

unnamed (4).jpg

See You at the Pole is an annual gathering of thousands of Christian students at a flagpole in front of their local schools for prayer, scripture-reading and worship, during the early morning before school starts. Here is what you can do.  If you are or have students (middle and high school) encourage them to get to school early to join in in praying.  If you do not have students in your house, commit to waking up early that morning (or the whole week week) and spend some extra time praying for the next generation to fix their eyes on Jesus. Questions contact Dan Vandewarker

College life group will be meeting Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm. We will be having dinner and discussing God Questions. Please purchase a book at the connections table ASAP. Our group will meet at 2648 Emerald Oaks Glen, Escondido.
