Message:  The Church
Series: Rooted at The Orchard
Passage: Matthew 5:14-16, Hebrews 10:19-25

Thank you for taking the time to read Orchard's weekly news bulletin.  It is our hope that the information in this communication will enable you to get plugged in, get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ, and come together in fellowship as Christ followers with the goal of "inviting people to experience Hope through Faith in Christ."

If you missed last Sunday, you can listen to last week's sermon "Faith" by clicking here.

Weekly Memory Verse: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit."  Matthew 28:19

Please join us at 9am in the Choir Room for a four week Adult Education Class beginning tomorrow, Jan 8 taught by Pete Turner.

Topics Include:

Your Identity in Christ:
How does the outlook of your identity in Christ effect your spiritual growth?  How does identity in Christ shape your outlook on the way you deal with others, and how see yourself.  What identifies you?

Learning to share your Story:
Your life matters and is useful in helping others find a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Learn how to write and share your testimony of being a Christ follower.  Why is this important?

Discipleship 101
Learn an easy but effective way to lead a Discovery Bible study.  It will surprise you how simple this is and easy to do.  Once you’ve learned this lesson, you can begin to involve those around you to discover God and His plan of salvation.

Forgiveness is a profound concept.  It is a blessing to receive it, yet hard to grasp and fully appreciate.  Do you fully grasp that you have been fully forgiven?  Do you have a hard time forgiving yourself?  Other?  Come and learn some lessons on forgiveness.

Would you like to take part in the planning and presenting of one of Orchard’s most fun events?  If so, we have the right spot for you.  We will be having another of our great chili cool-offs in early March and are in the process of building a team to handle this event.  Contact Jan Bittner for more information or to let us know this interests you.  (760) 743-3172
