20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
The best part of a football game is when you’re team, through difficult odds overcomes. That is really the best part of any story.
Life can be drab when the thing we want most is just beyond our reach or we feel all hope is lost. That moment when God reveals an answer, a miracle, that is when we respond with two powerful words… “Thank God!”
Those two words are so powerful because:
One: like the shepherds we acknowledge God still intervenes in human life.
Two: we sense that the God of the universe is intimately concerned with us.
So many things go wrong in life, so many times we look back and say “where was God in this”. Too often we fail to recognize the little times God DOES hear our prayer and in a moment of hopelessness we get a glimpse of the hope Jesus brings this night in Bethlehem.
Remember to take some time this season to thank God for those times where He showed up and did something amazing.
